Helping young athletes rise

Why Mercury?

Mercury Soccer believes that there are two important questions for parents to ask when selecting a soccer club, and almost everything else is noise:

(1) How will the club affect my child and family?

We believe in a culture that puts player development first above all things including winning

  • When a player steps on the field for Mercury their goal is always to play right and win, that is the players job, the clubs job is to first develop and then win.

  • To truly put player development first, a player should play for the highest quality coaching they can in a great culture.

  • To truly put player development above winning; all kids selected to the roster must play a good portion of the game (we believe that is around half of a game).

  • To truly put player development over team development; when young athletes pass up the level of competition we can provide, they will be encouraged and we will help them to tryout for an ECNL or Development Academy team.

  • To truly put player development above club politics; all soccer decisions should be made by soccer professionals, not by boards or committees within the club.

  • While winning is important, a culture of winning being the result of hard work, self-improvement, class and dedication is what we strive for with your child.

  • Player development includes building a young athlete's self-confidence, self-image and willingness to take chances.

We believe we will answer these standards for you at Mercury Soccer.   Come take a look for yourself and see if you agree! These are standards that we would like to be held to.

 (2) Can our family afford the club?

We believe in making our premium club as affordable as possible while providing our staff and coaches a fair pay for the work required.

  • Mercury Soccer’s fees will all be set on a monthly basis to keep it as affordable, consistent with a family’s typical budget as possible.

  • Mercury Soccer’s fees will have only one simple fee covering all training, fields, tournaments, ref fees, carding, etc

  • Mercury Soccer’s training program will cover 3 days / week; 2 team training and 1 technical training day, we also open up a free 4th day of extra technical training for any athlete that wants to improve, this allows flexibility to your schedules and affordability to your time.

  • Mercury Soccer believes we can save logistical money for all, as well in how we schedule and plan our travel

  • Mercury Soccer will offer a referral program, for those that have trouble affording the fees or simply would like to lower their cost, we will provide fee discounts for referrals

  • Mercury Soccer will offer a limited, need based, partial scholarship program and work aid program for those that have financial hardships.

While competitive select youth sports are not always affordable for everyone; our goal is to offer a premium service at a fair price, while also making it accessible to athletes that would normally struggle to play.
